1. Devils Punch Bowl Trail – Devils Punch Bowl State Natural Area
On this easy-going and short trail, you can explore the Devil’s Punch Bowl, which likely formed from the collapse of two sea caves. The ocean waters slam around this punchbowl-like formation with thunderous roars during winter storms. It’s just a mile from the Inn at Otter Crest, so you can add some length to your hike by walking there.
2. God’s Thumb via The Knoll – Siuslaw National Forest
Enjoy this moderately challenging 4.3-miles long hike with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. There are some decent inclines which makes it a bit of a challenge but with stunning views. This trail is just half an hour’s drive from our Otter Rock Hotel.
3. Lower Cascade Head Trail – Cascade Head Scenic Research Area
Enjoy stunning views of the Siuslaw National Forest and the Cascade Head Preserve on this adventurous trail. It is 4.2 miles out and back and takes a moderate level of hiking skills to complete. This is one of the farthest Oregon Coast hikes on our list from the Inn at Otter Crest. It will be a 40-minute drive to this destination, with gorgeous views of the Oregon Coast along the way.
4. Captain Cook Trail and Thor’s Well – Cape Perpetua Scenic Area
